The members of our management team are the first point of contact when a customer contacts us with a problem they need to solve.
Recently, a company that makes CPAP machines, used to treat sleep apnea, was looking for an alternative tubing material to silicone that was less expensive and wouldn’t kink or tangle. The tubing is located inside the hardware and helps create the suction and pressure that enables the air to flow through.
Meet Keith Ellsworth, our production manager. He’s been a member of our team for 16 years and is responsible for product design. Keith showed the customer how our FLEX™ tubing products provided durability, reliability, safety and purity.
Fun fact: Keith used to race stock cars, riding his motorcycle to track days. A busy dad of three, he treasures the days he gets to ride his motorcycle to work.
Our vice president Phil Scott has been with us for 14 years. Phil manages our building and equipment and makes sure we have the production capabilities to deliver what the customer needs. Phil demonstrated how the integrity of our extrusion process ensured a high-quality product that is also environmentally-responsible.
Fun fact: Phil has a degree in conservation biology and is our resident outdoorsman. He is passionate about white-tailed deer management.
Erica is our vice president leading finance and human resources. She’s also worked at the company for 14 years, and is Phil’s big sister! Erica showed the customer how plastic tubing was a more cost-effective material and that Finger Lakes Extrusion can customize products to meet a variety of needs. This includes size, color, imprinting and packaging.
Fun fact: Erica is a former actuary. She competes in triathlons and treasures lake life with her family.
Kathie Stevens celebrates her 10-year anniversary with us this year! She handles all inside sales functions and helps manage our warehouse inventory. Kathie makes sure every customer gets the personalized service and attention they deserve, and that every project stays on budget and on schedule.
Fun fact: Kathie enjoys time with her horse, Cruiser, and crafting, gardening and antiquing.
Jordyn Petroske is our customer account specialist and the first person customers talk to on the phone. She manages order entry, price and availability questions and prepares all paperwork for shipments.
Fun fact: Jordyn loves soccer and scratch-off games!
Rounding out our management team is our president and founder, Bill Scott. He started his career at Canandaigua Plastics in 1980 and founded Finger Lakes Extrusion in 1998. He’s our go-to guy on difficult jobs and always has great troubleshooting tips. Bill oversees our entire operation and prefers the production floor to the office.
Fun fact: Bill is Erica and Phil’s dad! If he isn’t at work, he’s on the golf course.
