Solving Problems Is What We Do

The members of our management team are the first point of contact when a customer contacts us with a problem they need to solve.

Recently, a company that makes CPAP machines, used to treat sleep apnea, was looking for an alternative tubing material to silicone that was less expensive and wouldn’t kink or tangle. The tubing is located inside the hardware and helps create the suction and pressure that enables the air to flow through.

Keith EllsworthMeet Keith Ellsworth, our production manager. He’s been a member of our team for 16 years and is responsible for product design. Keith showed the customer how our FLEX™ tubing products provided durability, reliability, safety and purity.

Fun fact: Keith used to race stock cars, riding his motorcycle to track days. A busy dad of three, he treasures the days he gets to ride his motorcycle to work.

 

Phil ScottOur vice president Phil Scott has been with us for 14 years. Phil manages our building and equipment and makes sure we have the production capabilities to deliver what the customer needs. Phil demonstrated how the integrity of our extrusion process ensured a high-quality product that is also environmentally-responsible.

Fun fact: Phil has a degree in conservation biology and is our resident outdoorsman. He is passionate about white-tailed deer management.

 

Erica C. S. WrightErica is our vice president leading finance and human resources. She’s also worked at the company for 14 years, and is Phil’s big sister! Erica showed the customer how plastic tubing was a more cost-effective material and that Finger Lakes Extrusion can customize products to meet a variety of needs. This includes size, color, imprinting and packaging.

Fun fact: Erica is a former actuary. She competes in triathlons and treasures lake life with her family.


Kathie StevensKathie Stevens celebrates her 10-year anniversary with us this year! She handles all inside sales functions and helps manage our warehouse inventory. Kathie makes sure every customer gets the personalized service and attention they deserve, and that every project stays on budget and on schedule.

Fun fact: Kathie enjoys time with her horse, Cruiser, and crafting, gardening and antiquing.

 

Jordyn PetroskeJordyn Petroske is our customer account specialist and the first person customers talk to on the phone. She manages order entry, price and availability questions and prepares all paperwork for shipments.

Fun fact: Jordyn loves soccer and scratch-off games!

 

 

 

William C. ScottRounding out our management team is our president and founder, Bill Scott. He started his career at Canandaigua Plastics in 1980 and founded Finger Lakes Extrusion in 1998. He’s our go-to guy on difficult jobs and always has great troubleshooting tips. Bill oversees our entire operation and prefers the production floor to the office.

Fun fact: Bill is Erica and Phil’s dad! If he isn’t at work, he’s on the golf course.

Natalie LeGrett

Customer Account Specialist

Natalie is a 2011 graduate of St. John Fisher College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and concentration in Human Resources. After 14 years of working in the Staffing Industry as a Recruiter and other various roles she was looking to switch gears and start a new career path. She had ties with Erica as she assisted in staffing temporary staff to FLEX for years. She decided not to return to the corporate world after maternity leave and start at FLEX where she has been a Customer Account Specialist. She is passionate about her family and two sons who always keep her on her toes; we enjoy creating memories as a family and enjoying the sunshine every chance we get! 

Keith Ellsworth

Production Manager

Keith has been a member of our team since 2007. With a degree in Business and a minor in Computer Science along with decades of mechanical experience, Keith brings a great deal of knowledge to the company. Keith coordinates all production activities and works with customers to help develop products that fit their needs. After years of racing stock cars and taking his motorcycle to track days, this busy Dad of two treasures the days when he gets to ride his motorcycle to work.

Phil Scott

President of Operations

Phil has been a member of our team since 2009. Phil is a 2008 graduate of SUNY ESF with a degree in Conservation Biology. After gaining hands on experience on the extrusion lines during the summers of his college career, Phil decided that working at FLEX™ was better suited to him than a career in the environmental field. Phil handles all building and equipment maintenance and purchases. He is our resident outdoorsman, most passionate about white tail deer hunting and management.

Erica C. S. Wright

President of Sales

Erica is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Business Studies. After 4 years in Corporate America working as an actuary, she was looking for a change. Finger Lakes Extrusion offered her that change and in 2009 she made the switch. Erica handles all finance and human resource functions at Finger Lakes Extrusion along with sales travel and quoting. All of these functions guarantee that no day is the same – her favorite characteristic of the job. Triathlons and lake life with her family are Erica’s most treasured moments.
