New Pneumatic Tubing Meets Customer Need

You asked, we delivered.

In the last year, the number one customer request we’ve received is pneumatic tubing.

So we’re thrilled to announce our newest product, HD Ether-PUR 95, a high durometer urethane tubing for pneumatic applications.

Pneumatic tubing carries pressurized air to valves, actuators, cylinders, and other pneumatic components to make machines run.

Our product is ideal for manufacturers of industrial equipment, and robotics and automation systems. These include conveyors, robotic arms, and grippers used in manufacturing and assembly lines or automated warehouses.

HD Ether-PUR 95 is also a good fit for companies servicing their own equipment. We use it on our conveyor blow-off table which transfers finished tubing into the packaging.

Production manager Keith Ellsworth said, “This new product is a direct result of listening to our customers, as well as prospective customers, and responding to their needs.”

Benefits

HD Ether-PUR 95 is made from an ether-based polyurethane resin. Ellsworth said the use of urethane tubing is becoming more common due to its low cost and ease of use, replacing other options such as reinforced rubber, steel, and rigid plastic.

Our tubing is durable to withstand pressure and impact, easy to route through tight turns and narrow spaces, and can be used with simple push-to-connect fittings (no clamp needed).

Customers also have the option to customize sizes, lengths, colors, imprinting, and packaging.

HD Ether-PUR 95 is also food grade compliant for use in food processing and packaging applications.

Quality control

At Finger Lakes Extrusion, we’re committed to delivering the very best products and service to our distributors and customers. Quality control is an important part of our production process.

We recently purchased a high-speed camera unit for our production line. The camera detects visual imperfections and tells the operator when to reject the tubing.

We only ship tubing that meets precise standards for quality and performance.

Ellsworth said, “This camera allows every foot of tubing to be visually inspected for objective quality standards. The operator inputs exact parameters for that particular product and the tubing is only accepted if it meets those specifications. It’s about quality, efficiency, and making sure customers always get the highest quality product.”

Thank you to our suppliers, distributors, and customers as we close the books on 2024 and look forward to more good news to come in 2025.
