ClearFLEX™ 70NP: Designed and Made to Meet Strict Industry Standards

It’s used in food and beverage processing, medical device and pharmaceutical production, labs, brewing and winemaking operations, and the dairy industry.

ClearFLEX™ 70NP is a longtime staple of our product catalog – it’s one of the very first products we introduced.

Let’s take a look at how this flexible PVC tubing is different from commonly used industrial-grade PVC.

Breadth of certifications
We have high standards at Finger Lakes Extrusion, so we understand the needs of highly-regulated industries that must meet stringent requirements for quality,
safety, and compliance.

ClearFLEX™ 70NP meets rigorous standards for food and beverage contact, drinking water systems, and medical and pharmaceutical applications, including:

  • NSF-51 certified, signifying a higher level of assurance for food contact materials
  • NSF-61 certified for potable water systems
  • Meets requirements of the U.S. Pharmacopeia Class VI Biological Tests for Plastics for limited-patient contact applications
  • Meets RoHS and REACH standards and does not contain substances listed on Proposition 65
  • UL94 testing verified for level HB and V-1
  • Meets 3A requirements for milk transfer

Higher precision and tolerances
We manufacture ClearFLEX™ 70NP using specialized extrusion processes to achieve higher precision, tighter dimensional tolerances, and leak-proof performance.

This is a benefit for applications requiring high chemical resistance, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing and lab work, food grade compliance such as food and beverage processing, and precise inner diameter control for products like medical devices.

Quality formulations
We are also very particular about the resins we use, working closely with our suppliers to secure raw materials that are precisely made and controlled to ensure consistent compliance.

ClearFLEX™ 70NP is also made with a non-DEHP, non-phthalate plasticizer for enhanced safety.

Real-world applications

Ordered a beer on tap at your local bar?

Toured a winery to see how wine is bottled?

Gone hiking with a portable water purification system?

ClearFLEX™ 70NP is a vital component of these varied systems.

Fun fact: One of our employees spotted ClearFLEX™ 70NP in one of the episodes of the popular Showtime series “Dexter.”
