At Finger Lakes Extrusion, teamwork is the name of the game, for our own team and among our extended team of authorized distributors.

This month, we’re excited to announce the latest recipients of our Top Sales Excellence Award. This award is presented annually to the five distributors that achieved the highest percentage sales growth in the last year.

Polymershapes

Polymershapes Detroit distributes plastic sheet, rod, tube and film products from over 80 locations throughout the Americas for sign and graphics and industrial applications. We worked with their team to develop a special tube to solve a customer problem related to design and manufacturing. This project involved a lot of collaboration between our team, Polymershapes and the end user. Together, we overcame several hurdles to dial in on the nominal size and tolerances needed to make assembly of the customer’s device flawless. 

Laird Plastics

Our relationship with Laird Plastics Atlanta is another example of our commitment to tackle challenges, not just take orders. Laird Plastics distributes sustainable, high-performance plastics serving the sign and graphics and mechanical and engineering industries. We were selected as a supplier to a leading airline for a very exciting project and are now working with the airline to develop a longer-lasting product that fits the needs of both the operations and health and safety teams. 

Curbell Plastics

Curbell Plastics is headquartered in Orchard Park, NY, home to the Buffalo Bills and not far from our home in New York’s Finger Lakes region. Curbell is a longtime partner distributing plastic sheet, rod, tube and specialty products for industrial and commercial customers. We’ve enjoyed steady growth with Curbell and their customers who value what we both bring to the table. We ship standard and custom products to all of Curbell’s U.S. distribution centers, a reflection of our mutual trust and loyalty. This relationship resulted in a 51% increase in sales. 

Indelco Plastics

Finger Lakes Extrusion also has a longtime relationship with Indelco Plastics, especially their Minneapolis location. Indelco is a leading distributor of corrosion resistant thermoplastic products for fluid control and storage. Together, we serve several end users that are very important to our business. One of those customers has grown significantly over the last year, contributing to a 29% increase in sales of our products.

Bushnell Inc.

Bushnell has been in business since 1969 and is a top distributor of plastic pipe, valves, fittings and accessories. Their commitment to maintain a robust product stock is part of what makes them successful – they guarantee next day delivery in the Chicagoland area. Bushnell sells a number of our products and does a great job consistently stocking the most popular sizes for their customers, leading to 35% sales growth.

Natalie LeGrett

Customer Account Specialist

Natalie is a 2011 graduate of St. John Fisher College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and concentration in Human Resources. After 14 years of working in the Staffing Industry as a Recruiter and other various roles she was looking to switch gears and start a new career path. She had ties with Erica as she assisted in staffing temporary staff to FLEX for years. She decided not to return to the corporate world after maternity leave and start at FLEX where she has been a Customer Account Specialist. She is passionate about her family and two sons who always keep her on her toes; we enjoy creating memories as a family and enjoying the sunshine every chance we get! 

Keith Ellsworth

Production Manager

Keith has been a member of our team since 2007. With a degree in Business and a minor in Computer Science along with decades of mechanical experience, Keith brings a great deal of knowledge to the company. Keith coordinates all production activities and works with customers to help develop products that fit their needs. After years of racing stock cars and taking his motorcycle to track days, this busy Dad of two treasures the days when he gets to ride his motorcycle to work.

Phil Scott

President of Operations

Phil has been a member of our team since 2009. Phil is a 2008 graduate of SUNY ESF with a degree in Conservation Biology. After gaining hands on experience on the extrusion lines during the summers of his college career, Phil decided that working at FLEX™ was better suited to him than a career in the environmental field. Phil handles all building and equipment maintenance and purchases. He is our resident outdoorsman, most passionate about white tail deer hunting and management.

Erica C. S. Wright

President of Sales

Erica is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Business Studies. After 4 years in Corporate America working as an actuary, she was looking for a change. Finger Lakes Extrusion offered her that change and in 2009 she made the switch. Erica handles all finance and human resource functions at Finger Lakes Extrusion along with sales travel and quoting. All of these functions guarantee that no day is the same – her favorite characteristic of the job. Triathlons and lake life with her family are Erica’s most treasured moments.
